Hannah Monroe is a second year Master of Social Work student at University of Toronto and is currently doing her placement at Dori Zener & Associates. She has also been the Intake Coordinator for the practice since summer 2019 and enjoys co-facilitating our young adult group Chilling on the Spectrum. Hannah has a Master’s of Arts in Critical Sociology from Brock University, where her thesis research involved interviewing young adults on the autism spectrum about their identities and perspectives on autism. She became interested in disability advocacy and supporting neurodiverse people before starting her Master’s degree, while working at Atlanta Legal Aid Society in their Disability Integration Project. There she conducted intake and case management for people with disabilities and helped organize an Americans with Disabilities Act anniversary event.
Services: Individual counselling focused on understanding and accepting neurodivergent identities, understanding and accepting LGBTQ+ identities, enhancing executive functioning and strategies for academic success.
